Supervisors oppose proposed funding change
June 11, 2013 — Fighting for the chance to stop a shift of Public Health funds, Lassen County Supervisors unanimously voted to oppose the governor’s proposal to redirect County Realignment funds to the state.
In a recent proposal by California Governor Jerry Brown, funds originally designated toward public health programs may decrease by $2.8 million, potentially lowering the current Public and Environmental Health and Public Health realignment funding from $1,842,850 to negative $927,629.
June 10, 2013 — Local residents who have any information regarding the whereabouts of Patrick McCarthy, 45, of Doyle, are asked to call the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office.
