Nakanishi hospitalized in Truckee
June 17, 2012 — Jon Nakanishi, one of two candidates for Lassen Superior Court judge who advanced to the general election in November, is in stable condition in Tahoe Forest Hospital (TFH) in Truckee.
A hospital spokesperson confirmed Nakanishi’s condition, but she said she could not answer any other questions.
“That’s all the information I can provide,” she said.
One Susanville source reports Nakanishi may have suffered a heart attack while rafting with his family on the Truckee River.According to prayer requests circulating on the Internet, Nakanishi may have been involved in a rafting accident on the Truckee River and then suffered a heart attack. He reportedly is in a medically induced coma at TFH
Nakanishi, 42, Lassen County’s Family Law Facilitator, faces Lassen County District Attorney Bob Burns in the November general election for the Lassen County Superior Court judge’s seat vacated by the retirement of F. Donald Sokol.
The two candidates garnered the most votes in the primary election earlier this month.
