Law enforcement agencies eradicate marijuana grow

Aug. 17, 2012  — The Lassen County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO), along with the assistance of other allied agencies, conducted a marijuana eradication on public land in the Northwest area of the county.

According to a press release from LCSO Captain Matt McFarland, 1,800 plants were removed from the site. Reclamation efforts also included removal of hundreds of pounds of fertilizer, water line, camping supplies and garbage. Water used to irrigate the plants was being secretly drawn from private property by way of an underground pumping station.

The grow site had multiple acres where most ground vegetation had been cleared and multiple camp/cook sites had been established by the growers.

As hunting season gets under way and more people head to the outdoors, the LCSO would like to remind people to be wary of these grow sites.

In recent years, hunters in the area have come across these sites and the offenders operating the sites have threatened some of these people.

Signs to look for are irrigation line, concealed camp sites or other evidence of marijuana grows in remote areas or on public lands in Lassen County. If you see these signs, you are encouraged to leave the area and report it to the LCSO.

Agencies who assisted with the marijuana eradication were the Susanville Police Department, the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, Modoc County Sheriff’s Office, the California Department of Fish and Game and officers from the Campaign Against Marijuana Planting (CAMP).

Does it matter where they came from really? The problem is they picked on our county to spread their disease. They rape the land thieve from everyone and could us as a whole and care less how many people fail to recover from their garbage as long as they can thieve enough to pay.

The point: Law enforcement it a tough job, I would not want their job nor could I do it! They deal with the worst people generally or people who are generally at their worst. They busted and created a void where that product was heading AWESOME! Keep the attention on the fact they win again.

You know what would be fun to do, is to dump a load of Phos-Chek from an air tanker onto each grow. It would help the air tanker pilots to improve their proficiency and it would be just plain fun to see red cartel workers running back to Mexico. Plus their crops would be ruined!

Yes! Since all of the illegal Mexican cartel workers in the US prove that our borders are porous and anyone can sneak across to grow dope. Do you know how many Muslim terrorists have come into the US from Mexico?

I meant to say the cause is the drugs n their value in cash and the symptom is universal be it they from USA UK Mexico. Hitting the cause makes gardening drugs less profitable. Mr Parks do you believe mexico is the root of the problem
