FFA Parliamentary Procedure takes third in state

May 11, 2012 — Susanville FFA’s Novice Parliamentary Procedure placed third at the state finals in Fresno, Calif.
To compete at the state finalsthe team qualified by winning a sectional contest and placing in the top four (second) in the region.
Twenty-four teams qualify statewide out of 310 agriculture programs.
While at state, the teams are whittled down through preliminary and semi-final rounds to make it to the top six in the finals.
The contest requires the use of 20 motions, and informative debate in a 10-minute time period.
The contestants must also answer questions on their specific motions and questions at large as well as take a written test.
