“I’m so proud of these guys,” said Rudy Valentine, coach and manager of the Iron Pit Fight Team.

First up for the team was Brian “Hammerhead” Moore in the second fight on the card. Moore took on Michael Vinson in the light heavyweight division and won the match with a knockdown at 2 minutes and 13 seconds into the first round.

Joe Mavins gave his debut for the Iron Pit Fight Team in the fifth fight of the night against Adam Hebenstreich, and won by unanimous decision in the 155-pound weight class.

Chad “Spartacus” Brewer took on Spike Vance in the seventh fight of the night. Showing discipline and stamina, Brewer choked out Vance for yet another Iron Pit win.

Mike “Chunk” Morales faced off with Phillip Wilson in the heavyweight round. Easily the crowd favorite, the two went through three long, hard-fought rounds.

The crowd kept up Morales’ stamina with the calls of “Chunk, Chunk, Chunk,” throughout the entire fight. Morales’ ability to battle until the end paid off and Morales won by unanimous decision.

Valentine said in everyone’s eyes, Chunk earned fight of the night.

Sparky Lively dominated Jamison DeShazer in the welterweight division for the ninth fight of the night. Sparky earned the win with 2:47 into the first round when DeShazer tapped out.

The 10th and last fight of the night found Matt “Mad Dog” Lively up against Mike Orzel for the middleweight championship belt, which Matt was defending. Battling through three full rounds, Matt won by a split decision.
