SAIT congratulates teachers at Fletcher Walker Elementary

Sept. 26, 2006 — Bob Benoit and Cheri Gamette, members of the State Assessment Intervention Team that worked with teachers at Fletcher Walker Elementary to bring the school's California Academic Performance Index score up, came to Westwood Wednesday, Sept. 20, to congratulate staff on a job well done.

Sept. 26, 2006 — Lassen County has withdrawn its appeal of a plan to export 8,000 acre feet of water a year from eastern Lassen County for new housing north of Reno.

Betz pleads guilty, accepts 18-month stipulated sentence

Sept. 26, 2006 — If the Lassen County Probation Department and the Lassen County Superior Court Judge Ridgely Lazard agree, a Susanville resident could be sentenced to 18 months in jail for participating in an Internet relationship with an underage girl and bringing her to Susanville.
