1,610 acre Creek Fire fully contained

The Creek fire, which started at 4:26 p.m., Tuesday, July 18, 2006 at the end of Gold Run Road, three miles southwest of Susanville, California was 100 percent contained and had grown to more than 1,610 acres by Friday morning July 21.

Board, Pyramid Paiute tribe to appeal water exportation to Reno

Lassen County and the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe will appeal the federal government’s approval of a plan to export 8,000 acre feet of water a year from eastern Lassen County for new housing north of Reno.
  

Creek fire burns 1,550 acres near Gold Run area

On Thursday, July 20, fire crews were mopping up the Creek Fire, which broke out at approximately 3 p.m. on Tuesday, July 18 near the Cheney Creek area four miles southwest of Susanville, burning 1,550 acres.
