Election results available on the Internet

June 5, 2012 — Lassen County Clerk Julie Bustamante wants county residents to know they can find information on the results of today’s local and state election at co.lassen.ca.us/govt/dept/county_clerk/registrar/Elections.asp on the Internet.

Bustamante said users should click local results — Tuesday, June 5, 2012 primary or statewide results link.

She also advised county residents the final tallies may not be completed until the end of the week.

“I will be updating our local results throughout the canvass (audit of election results) which will hopefully be completed by Friday night,” Bustamante said in an email.

“We are expecting a large number of vote-by-mail ballots to be dropped off at the polls by the voters. We will begin processing and counting these first thing Wednesday morning. Please be patient as we can’t rush this process. We still need to verify all the signatures on these envelopes before the ballots can be opened, removed and run through the machines.

Then we willbegin processing the provisional ballots (which is very time consuming).I assure you that we will be working very hard and as diligently as possible to get to the final results as soon as possible.

“Good luck to all the candidates, and don’t forget to vote if you have not done so already! All ballots must be in our hands or at the polls by 8 p.m., Tuesday, June 5.”

For more information, call the county clerk’s office at 251-8217.

Severely disappointed with the voters of Lassen county. Hopefully the final results turn out better. Doesn't look like too much thought was put into the votes. But what can be expected from a struggling community in a struggling state.

That right Tommy. You know best what is the right path and what the right choices are for Lassen County residents. You must be related to that moron or his wife who didnt get elected. Go back and tend your sheep.

Name calling is allowed?
This election was a reflection on the values of a few. All those 60% of registered voters cannot say one word about the outcome.

Most importantly IMO is that Brian Dahle is first in voting district wide for the assembly seat. If the democrat can beat out the other republican candidate then Dahle is a shoo-in come November. Great news for our county!
