LMUD plans power outage

Nov. 21, 2006 — In an effort to improve future service to customers, the Lassen Municipal Utilities District is planned a power outrage on Tuesday, Nov. 21, weather permitting. But the weather was bad so the outage was postponed.
 

Dream trip becomes reality for Susanville resident

Nov. 21, 2006 — Bob Deaton’s dream trip became reality in October. Piloting Honey, his yellow 1946 fabric winged Ercoupe, Deaton, 66, landed in every one of the lower 48 states, flying 8,900 miles and recording each state in his log book.

Westwood activist wants no-kill animal shelter

Nov. 28, 2006 — Friday, Nov. 17, 14 animals were killed at the Lassen County Animal shelter because there was no room; six of them were adoptable, Westwood resident Eileen Spencer told the Board of Supervisors last week.
