Hand count confirms narrow Pyle victory
June 11, 2012 — Lassen County Clerk Julie Bustamante said a hand count of the ballots in the Lassen County District 1 Supervisorial race confirmed the results from the county’s ballot-counting computers.
According to the hand count and the computer, incumbent Bob Pyle defeated challenger Jean Hodge by 27 votes. Pyle collected 836 votes (50.67 percent) and Hodge garnered 808 votes (49.03 percent).
“It proved the machine came out right,” Bustamante said of the hand count.
The clerk said the final results of the election are now on the county’s website. Go to co.lassen.ca.us/govt/dept/county_clerk/registrar/Elections.asp to review the results.
