Lassen County workers go on half-day strike to protest impasse

Oct. 17, 2006 — Lassen County employees expressed their dissatisfaction with the progress of negotiations for a new labor contract between their union and the Lassen County Board of Supervisors with a half-day strike last Thursday afternoon over pay and benefits.

Friends of Susanville Schools seek your support for Measure P

Oct. 24, 2006 — Friends of Susanville Schools are urging voters to approve Measure P, a bond measure on the Nov. 7 ballot, which would allow for the modernization of McKinley School, Diamond View School, Meadow View School and address a ground water concern that could shorten the lifespan of Meadow View School.
