REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FROM FUEL REDUCTION CHIPPING CONTRACTORS

The Lassen County Fire Safe Council, Inc. is soliciting proposals from fuel reduction contractor’s to perform work on our projects that we expect to implement in 2014-15 in Lassen County. These will be primarily biomass utilization projects that involve mechanical shearing and chipping with some mastication and hand work.

Selection of a contractor or contractors will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, experience, references, quality of equipment, price for services and the ability to adapt innovative technologies that will result in efficient project implementation and utilization of biomass. Council’s preferred method of project implementation will be through awards to prime contractors.
