High school superintendent announces resignation

Dr. Todd Cutler has announced his resignation as superintendent of the Lassen Union High School District (LUHSD).

The LUHSD board of trustees will consider accepting his resignation at its Tuesday, June 19 meeting.

Cutler will also be resigning as superintendent of Johnstonville School and issued a letter to staff in both districts, Thursday, June 14.

At the Tuesday meeting, Cutler said he will present the LUHSD board with some options on how it can proceed for the future of the superintendent position. Ideas include searching for a new superintendent, hiring an interim person and other options that will save money.

He was hired as LUSHD superintendent in July 2009.

Change is going to come.It is very clear that Susanville is going through a possitive progress, In which new face,s will be in charge of making this great little town a very nice place to live. I hope that the great citizen,s of Susanville have faith in these official,s. :-)

Maybe a new administrator will have the students as their first priority. The board also could get a new direction instead of "Manifest Own All of Midtown Susanville"

Good riddance to an unfriendly persona. The retiring Richmond School superintendent with her outstanding reputation and excellent track record would be the best possible interim choice.

The more an admin insists on being called "Dr." the more curious I am about what institution produced the supposed doctorate, especially when bios omit to tell us. Many are U of Phoenix or the like, and the primary requirement there is only a willingness to run up enough student loans.
