Friday, Feb. 27, 2015 — On Feb. 11, young people in Lassen County were invited to attend a California Conservation Corps Recruitment Event hosted by the Lassen County Environmental Education Collaborative. Guest presenters Jared Fautt, the corp’s Zone 1 recruiter, and colleague Sterling Guijar discussed the benefits of involvement in the corp for young people, ages 18 to 25.
The presenters discussed the multitude of benefits available to California Conservation Corps participants from paid, job-specific, specialized training and work experience to scholarships and assistance starting a career pathway.
