Honey Lake MX racing season moves forward
Motocross racing returned to Milford's Honey Lake Motocross Park last Sunday with the Mother's Day Classic. More than 145 riders converged on the track and raced in front of more than 400 spectators.
"It was a neat outing," track owner Larry Wosick said. "The race accentuated what we're trying to do out here. Make it a family experience."
The Suzuki team will use the track this Tuesday and Wednesday to test for the Hangtown Nationals set for this weekend in Sacramento.
The Suzuki team is led by world motocross star Travis Pastrana, and team manager and former five-time world champion Roger DeCoster.
The track's vintage race is scheduled for Sunday, May 19. The race features former riders Dick Mann and Brad Lackey, who was the first American to win a world motocross championship.
