Winniford and Irene Boshoff Winniford in Westwood, Calif., on July 7, 1934. Moving to Anderson, Calif. at the age of eight, Beth lived most of her adult life there until moving to Susanville in recent years. Beth was a very happy and loving person who adored her family and never missed an opportunity to tease you! She loved bingo with her friends at Lassen Manor, holidays, parties, shopping at Wal-Mart, cats and dogs! When Beth wasn’t spending time with family or friends she was most content rocking in her rocking chair watching “spooky movies.”
In her younger years, Beth’s hobby was making stuffed animals for her loved ones and then hand-stitched personal messages on them. Beth collected stuffed animals and hot water bottles! Beth was active with the Shasta County Opportunity Center for many years and was the first mentally handicapped person in Shasta County to own her own home through the Farm Home program.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2007 at 2 p.m. at the St. Helena Cemetery, in St. Helena, Calif. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Shasta County Opportunity Center at 1265 Redwood Blvd., Redding, CA 96003
