After six years working with the Lassen Union High School District, Superintendent Dan Lewis is retiring.
“They say, ‘There comes a time when you know it’s time,’” Lewis said of his retirement.
The decision to retire is not a sudden one, Lewis said, but a subject he and his wife have been discussing for about a year.
After retiring, Lewis said he and his wife plan to stay in the area, but love traveling and learning about different countries and hope to visit Australia and New Zealand.
He was hired as superintendent in 2001, but has been involved in education for 32 years working at Selma High School and Dinuba Unified School District. He also plans to do semi-retirement work for the schools.
