Visit California Department of Fish and Game's new E-License web site to purchase that annual sport fishing license.
The new E-License web site was launched in January, along with an expanded array of online information and state services, and is included in the new "My California" web portal located at www.ca.gov. The E-License website is also accessible at www.dfg.ca.gov.
"We're thrilled to offer this site and we plan to continue to make it easier for the public to access our services," said DFG Director Robert C. Hight.
Once the easy online transaction is complete, anglers will receive their license in the mail within seven days. Those wishing to purchase a license for immediate use are still encouraged to drop by their nearest authorized license agent. A search engine to find a license agent in a particular location is available on the E-License site.
