Congressional candidate to visit Westwood
House parties hosted by Brown supporters are a way for the candidate to get to know the residents of the communities that are a part of District 4 and listen to their concerns. These gatherings also give people in District 4 an opportunity to personally meet the candidate. It is a campaign method that has been embraced by Brown and his supporters.
According to Brown’s bio, he was born in 1949 and raised in rural Iowa where he learned to hunt and worked on his grandfather’s cattle farm. When he was 13 years old he decided to become an Air Force pilot and entered the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1968. After graduating in 1972, he flew helicopter rescue missions in the Vietnam War. He also served in Desert Storm. He retired from the Air Force in 1998 as a lieutenant colonel.
Brown and his wife, Jan, live in Roseville. They have a son, Jeff, who is an Air Force captain and a daughter, Stacey, who just received her degree from the University of California, Irvine.

This is Brown’s second run for Congress. He ran for Congress in 2006 against eight term incumbent John Doolittle and lost by three percentage points.
Those planning to attend are asked to bring a folding lawn chair, because the gathering will begin outside. Desserts and beverages will be served.
