College announces new educational program
Eligible students must have an associate’s degree comprised of at least 82 total credit hours, and a student’s entire associate’s degree transfers into the program, said LCC Dean of Student Services and Institutional Research Cary Templeton.
“Students will be able to take courses online, and receive their bachelor’s degree in only one additional year,” said Templeton.
“It really is going to open up a lot of doors for a lot of people.”
The program is great for students who have other commitments, such as jobs and family, said Templeton.
“Students will be able to take the courses in their spare time, without leaving home,” he said.
“We are anticipating that students will be attracted to the convenience of the program, as a great deal of our students do have other commitments that have possibly gotten in the way of them achieving that four-year degree,” said Templeton.
Students completing the program will receive a fully accredited bachelor’s degree from Bellevue. Bachelor’s degrees are comprised of 127 total credit hours.
For more information about the program and a list of available concentrations, visit Bellevue’s Web site at Bellevue.edu/2+one or contact the LCC admissions office at 257-6181.
