School board approves ballot measure
The Lassen County Board of Supervisors initiated proceedings and proposed the formation of a county service area to be known as the Honey Lake Valley Community Swimming Pool Service Area, which has been defined as the boundaries of the Lassen High School District.
The district’s boundaries include the Susanville, Johnstonville, Richmond, Janesville and the Ravendale/Termo areas. It does not include the Westwood and Herlong areas.
Susanville has been without a public pool since Roosevelt Pool closed in December 2004 due to structural safety issues.
