Marie Hamilton
Marie Hamilton was born on Feb. 27, 1934, in Amos (Lakeview) in Baxter County, Ark. Her parents were Brooks and Myrtle Reynolds. She was one of eight children, five boys and three girls. Sometime between 1939 and 1940, the whole family moved to California and settled in Yuba City.
She loved to hunt and fish, and it was for this reason she loved Lassen and Plumas counties. After retirement in 1989, she moved to Doyle with no intention of ever moving again. She had a strong sense of family, as her parents and siblings were very important to her.
She was preceded in death by her father Brooks Reynolds and mother Myrtle Luvena Hodges Reynolds; brothers Leathel Clarence Reynolds and Seth Herbert Reynolds; sisters Pauline Reynolds Pruitt, Faye Irene Reynolds Howe and Myrtle Neola Reynolds, who died at the age of 5; as well as sister-in-law and wife of brother Keith, Jeanne Messick Reynolds.
She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Price Odeal Reynolds and Jean Stafford Reynolds; brother Keith Leslie Reynolds; sister-in-law Ruth Heffley Reynolds and brother Leathel; sister-in-law Lois Hall Reynolds, and brother Seth; brother Billy Joe Reynolds and sister-in-law Mary Hamilton Reynolds; and sister Betty Ann Reynolds Kimmerer and brother-in-law James Henry Kimerer.
She is also survived by her ex-husband Roland Charles Hamilton, father of their three children: Jimmy Charles Hamilton, Diana Marie Hamilton Potts and Gail Sharmaine Hamilton Maynard; eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Interment was held on Thursday, April 22, 2010, in Doyle, Calif.
Marti (Scroggins) Radomske
Marti (Scroggins) Radomske passed away on April 9, 2010 in Reno, Nev.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Jo Scroggins.
Marti was born on March 31, 1952, in Pittsburg, Calif. She was the second of four daughters.
Marti grew up and attended local schools in Susanville.
Marti is survived by her husband of 40 years, Tiny; son Dale Wayne; and two grandsons, Matthew and Anthony. She is also survived by three sisters, Chris Heuson, of Salina, Calif.; Cindy Azevedo (Terry), of Susanville; and Vicki Zieland, of Janesville; numerous nieces and nephews; numerous great nieces and nephews; and other relatives and many friends.
Marti was loved and will be missed by all her family and friends. She enjoyed spending all the time she could with her grandchildren and her family, using her computer (Facebook games), camping, crocheting and bingo, among other things.
A celebration of her life will be held at noon on Saturday, May 8 at the Monticola Club located at 140 South Lassen Street in Susanville.
In lieu of flowers, her family requests, donations be sent to the charity of your choice.
Shirley Bennett
Shirley Bennett was born in Los Angeles, Calif., on October 8, 1935, to Edith and Leo Shelton. She died on Saturday, April 17, 2010. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Marilyn and Dixie; one brother, Ed; and her husband Milton. She is survived by her sister, Bonnie Broughton, of Grass Valley, Calif.; her three children, Steven, of White City, Ore., and Kathryn Stephens and Renda Bennett, of Susanville, Calif. She also leaves behind six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Services were held at the Church of Latter Day Saints on Richmond, Road on Saturday, April 24.
Marge Rogan
Marge Rogan, longtime Milford resident, passed away on Sunday, April 11, 2010, in Reno, Nev. She was born Margaret Emma Tyson on January 16, 1924 in West Caldwell, N.J., to Walter and Margaret Tyson. Survivors include her son Richard Rogan, of Reno, Nev.; three granddaughters; and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Rogan of Milford, in 1992. A memorial for friends and family will be announced.
