Frederick Mayo Plopper, Jr.

Fred passed from this world on April 28, 2010 with complications from pneumonia. He was born on June 21, 1941.

Many people will remember Fred for his talent with singing and the guitar. He played with a local band Back Door through the 70s and 80s from the T & A Lounge to Quincy and everywhere in between. He was serenading the girls at County Villa Riverview up to the end of his 68 years. Freddie loved life. When leaving his apartment he would always say, “Well hellooo world!!” with a big smile and zest for the day.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Kellie and Dusty Kellogg; brother Charles Plopper and Carole, of Colorado; sisters Darleen Meyer, of Nebraska, and Mary Maher, of California; two stepchildren Ryan and Emily Brussatoi; and numerous nieces; nephews; cousins and friends.
