Susanville Assembly of God church is having its annual Rummage and Bake sale. This year they are raising funds for the Convoy of Hope. The event is this weekend, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, May 13 and Saturday, May 14 at the church on Richmond Road. There will be something for everyone.
IT'S A BOY!
Dana and Curt Hirsche, of Leslie's Jewelry, are the proud new grandparents of a baby boy! Their daughter Lindsey and her husband Kyle along with their daughter Maggie welcomed Jack Killian Coker to their family on May 3. He was born in Wiesbaden, Germany. He weighed 7 pounds, 5 onces and was 21 inches long. Congratulations to them all.
TIME FOR GARDENING
Melissa McCoy, owner of Every Bloomin' Thing, in Johnstonville informs us the nursery is full of everything you may need or want to get green in the garden. From handmade patio furniture to just about every plant, tree and shrub you can think of. The gift shop is brimming with all kinds of new items, from fun jewelry to fabulous new purses, she has it all. There's so much to see, you could actually spend an entire afternoon out there.
GOLF ANYONE?
With this beautiful weather, it's time to think about getting outside and golfing. If you are not a golfer and want to become one, you can get private golf lessons right here in Susanville at Diamond Mountain Golf Course. Golf Professional Adam Almand is available for golf lessons. You can reach him at the golf course most days.
If your already a golfer, many of the season leagues will be beginning soon. From Men's Night, to Couple's Night, there is something for everyone, including junior golfers. Stop by the golf course for more information.

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
You can win a one-year membership to Anytime Fitness in Susanville. All you have to do is write a short essay on compelling reasons to improve your health and how you can pay if forward to inspire others while on your fitness journey. All essays must be turned in by June 3, winner will be chosen on June 14. For an entry form stop by Anytime Fitness on Main Street.
