Recently on his television show Dr. Oz recommended several herbs and supplements to reduce weight and belly fat. One of those was Forkskolin, or Coleus Forskolin. TIME TO DANCE
JandJ Performing Arts is gearing up for summer. They are offering many fun summer intensive and workshop classes, like Gotta Sing, learn to sing and dance like Glee. The Time Out Salon in Susanville is now open until 8 p.m. seven days a week. Owner Liz Agee is offering introductory specials and prices all summer long. The new salon is located at 2055 Main St.
NEW QUILTING FABRICS AND KITS
Laura Roberts, owner of Country Pines Quilt Shop, tells us she just got in her new patterns and kits for summer quilting season. For the Bluegrass Quilters Guild be sure to stop in on your way to the festival this weekend and check out all the new fabrics and pick up your quilting supplies. If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to quilt, Roberts says she has many new beginner project kits.
EAGLE LAKE IS HAVING A PARTY
The Eagle Lake General Store in Spalding is throwing a Fourth of July fundraiser party for Eagle Lake Guardians. The party will be from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 3 at the Eagle Lake General Store. They will be serving angus burgers and hotdogs plus they are having a raffle as well. Stop by and join the fun for a good cause.
ENJOY THE SUSANVILLE BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL
More than 11 bluegrass bands will be performing for this three-day event that includes Blue Highway Band. This musical event is at the Lassen County Fairgrounds from Friday, June 24 through Sunday, June 26. There will be children’s activities, craft and food venders, fun for the entire family. FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION
Celebrate the fourth of July in Susanville! Gates open at 5 p.m. at the Lassen County Fairgrounds and the car races start at 7 p.m. Following the races you can enjoy the spectacular fireworks show they have prepared for you this year. See you at the races!
NEW FRESH PAINT
If you have driven down Main Street in Susanville recently you have seen guys diligently painting Bear's Repair. Owner Mike Mosier informs us it was time for a fresh coat of paint.
MAIN STREET CRUISE
If classic cars and motorcycles are your thing, then be sure and check out the 21st annual Main Street Cruise this Saturday, June 25. The fun begins at noon in Historic Uptown Susanville, with an arts and crafts show, kids activities, a car and motorcycle show plus in the evening there will be a street dance with live music. There will be plenty of food and beverages as you stroll through and look at all the classics. It's free admission for everyone too.
