Well Tambra's Leap Ahead Learning Center is open and available for walk-ins on those days. This new learning center for children offers preschool and before- and after-school programs from 5:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. CUSTOMER APPRECIATION
Windjammer Cable is inviting Susanville and Janesville residents to its customer appreciation event being held at the Lassen County Fairgrounds from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sept. 24. The family-friendly affair includes moonwalks, clowns, face painting, balloon artists, children’s crafts, prize drawings plus a free lunch consisting of hamburgers, hotdogs, chips and soft drinks. WIN A TRIP TO HAWAII
Have you ever been to Hawaii? Well this just may be your opportunity! The Susanville Sunrise Rotary Club is raffling off a trip for two to Hawaii. The trip includes airfare, rental car and a one-week stay on the island of Maui. You can contact any Sunrise Rotarian to purchase tickets. All proceeds from this raffle will be used to benefit the local community.
ELKS YARD SALE SATURDAY
The Susanville Elks Lodge is having a yard sale this Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Time to clean out your closets and storage sheds and donate your unwanted items to the Elks Lodge yard sale fund raiser. You can drop off donated items on Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., or on Saturday. Easy drop-off in the back parking lot will be available. For more information, contact the Elks Lodge at 257-4810.

COWBOY POETRY COMING
Saturday, Oct. 1, Diamond Mountain Casino and Hotel will be having its annual Cowboy Poetry Night.
