Alvin Ray Jordan

Alvin Ray Jordan was born March 22, 1934 in Tillman, Miss. and found his peace on Oct. 29, 2011 in his home in Standish, Calif.
Alvin and his family lived all around the world while he served 20 years in the United Sates Air Force. He retired from the military to Redding, Calif. and worked 16 years at Whiskeytown National Park. Loving to travel, Alvin and his wife lived and traveled full time in an RV for 16 years until moving to Lassen County seven years ago. They settled into their home in Standish until his death. He enjoyed woodworking and driving his tractor.
Alvin is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Marcia; his sister Dorothy Christopher; his son Ken Jordan and wife Carolyn; daughter Charlene Gifford and husband Gerald; grandchildren: Bradley, Sarah, Christopher, Stephanie, Gabrielle and two great-grandchildren. He will be missed by all of his family and friends.
His funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Nov. 18, 2011 at Diamond Crest Cemetery.
