Lassen falls to Taft in first state playoff appearance
Nov. 22, 2011 — The Lassen College men’s soccer team fell 2-1 to Taft College for the first appearance in the California Community Colleges soccer playoffs for the northern division.
The Cougars, in the sixth seed, hosted Taft College, in the 11th seed, Saturday, Nov. 19, at Susanville Ranch Park.
Erick Reynaga scored the goal for Lassen.
It was the first time the Lassen men’s soccer program hosted a state playoff game.
The Golden Valley Conference champions said they are happy with their season and look forward to having an even better one next year.
