Radio show provides forum for patriots
The radio show is an extension of the publishing company, Patriot Media, Inc. and is co-hosted by Patriot Media’s CEO Dari Bradley and local author Dr. Tom Gauthier.
Each week a different guest is interviewed.
“Each one has a special story to tell,” said Gauthier. “And each one is as fascinating as the next.”
Many of the guests have written a book about their own military experiences or those of a relative.
Other guests are chosen for their unique stories or experiences.
To date, the show has registered Internet listeners in 27 countries and the numbers are climbing.
Bradley, who authored the autobiography, “The Politics of Angels,” founded Patriot Media, Inc. in 2005 to publish the works of U.S. military veterans. The press specializes in unit histories, war veteran autobiographies, short story anthologies and novels with a patriotic military theme.
She began the radio show as an extension of the publishing company and to provide a forum for military patriots.
Gauthier was asked to research, produce and record a segment called “Spotlight on the Medal of Honor” as part of the show. Each week he highlights the story of a recipient of the nation’s highest military award for valor. The show’s popularity grew, drawing fan mail from as far away as China, and Gauthier eventually became co-host with Bradley.
Gauthier is author of several books and plays including “Code Name: Orion’s Eye,” Mead’s Trek,” and the forthcoming “Die Liste: Revenge on the Black Sun.” He is recognized for his expertise in organizational development and quality processes around the world. He has lectured, consulted and taught on four continents, covering more than 20 countries.
While the stories on militaryauthorradio.com have a military theme, their human-interest appeal reaches across boundaries. Anyone, even people without a military background, can appreciate the works of writers like Marc Yablonka, a journalist who wove together 31 different viewpoints of the Vietnam War, or Gary Velasco, author of “Fighting Colors: The Creation of Military Aircraft Nose Art.”
The interviews cover the broad spectrum of those who have been affected by war. Many of the guests also talk about the creative process of writing a book, how they find inspiration and what it’s like to work with editors.
Everyone has a story to tell and Patriot Media Radio is committed to giving voice to those who have military experience, either their own or those of a relative.
Tune into one of these lively interviews 5:30 every Sunday eveningat militaryauthorradio.com
