NEW REAL ESTATE OFFICE IN WESTWOOD

Real estate broker Mel Benny has opened her own office in Westwood next door to the Walker Mansion Inn on Third Street. As a real estate consultant, offering professional assistance in buying or selling, Mel has been in the business since the early 1990s. She previously managed the Century 21 Cottage Realty office in Susanville. She is a member of both Lassen and Plumas Association of Realtors.

REAL HUNTING DOG SUPPLIES

Animal lovers Monte and Joanie Kielty, owners of Treats Dog Company, are always bringing new items into their stores. They are now carrying hunting dog supplies by Avery, Mud River, Sport Dog, Tek, Tri-Tonics, Roy Gonia and more. These are well-known, trusted brands you won't find anywhere else in our area. 

Monte also reminds us they are still taking donations for a K-9 officer. Donations may be dropped off at Treats, or at the Lassen County Sheriff's Office.

 

TOYS FOR TOTS KIDS SHOOT

Mark your calendars for Saturday, Oct. 6 for the Lassen Regulators’ annual Toys for Tots Kids Shoot. The event will be held at their Rice Canyon Range, sign-ups start at 8 a.m., shooting matches start at 9 a.m. Bring a new, unwrapped toy to participate in the event. Weapons will be available to use for the event, if necessary. For more information, call Richard Doyle at 254-6618.

It's Honey Bucks time at Hodge Podge Lodge. You get Honey Bucks when you make purchases at Hodge Podge Lodge, then you can redeem them in the store between Oct. 9 and 20. Be sure and stop by the store soon and see all the new fall items they now have in stock.

MUSIC IN THE SCHOOL

Janesville School is hosting a “Save the Music” program event from 7 to 9 p.m. Oct. 8. Sonia Rao, of “The Voice,” and Nashville singer/songwriter Hope Nix will be entertaining the audience along with fiddle fancier Tallon Sandoval, of Janesville. FARMERS IS MOVING

Michelle Hunter, of Farmers Insurance, is moving her office.  You won’t have to go far, though.  As of Oct. 1 you will be able to find your friendly Farmers agents just across Main Street in the old Century 21/Cottage Realty building.

Michelle says, “We just needed more room to expand, our clients will still get the same great service!”
