![]() | INDOOR PLAY FACILITY Mindy Kiel, owner of All About Kids, tells us her new business is it’s a family-owned indoor playground and birthday party center designed for children ages 6 months through 6 years. Their mission is to provide a safe, clean, stimulating environment for toddler entertainment. They encourage children (and a stay-and-play adult) to discover their imaginations, improve motor skills and interact with other children while having fun. All About Kids offers a variety of play houses, slides, tunnels, puppet theatre, roller coaster, ball pit and even an infant area designed just for little ones. All About Kids is open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Sunday, and from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday nights. They are located at 803 Main St., Susanville. |
NEW WINTER HOURS
Lorin and Judy Galassi, owners of Papa Murphys in Susanville, inform us they are now honoring their winter hours. They are open until 8:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and until 8 p.m. Sundays. You will find them on Main Street across from Lassen High School.
BATTLE IN THE CAVE 2012
The Lassen Boys Basketball Boosters is hosting the second annual Battle in the Cave 2012 at Lassen College this Saturday, Nov. 10. The fun begins at 2 p.m. with youth basketball games, cheerleading, drill team and dance performances throughout the day. Then at approximately 7:30 p.m., it's the High Desert State Prison Dawgs vs. California Correctional Center Coyotes. There will be barbeque tri-tip sandwiches among other goodies to eat. Bring the whole family to this fun event. Be sure and buy your raffle ticket for a chance to win a 32 gb iPad donated by Wheels West owner Jason Rieger. All proceeds from the event will go to Lassen High School basketball.

Amanda Byrd, owner of Clip N' Dales, has recently moved their business to a new location. You will now find them at 710-765 Highway 395 East. For the convenience of her customers, Amanda was able to retain the same phone number, 257-3647 (DOGS).
HOLIDAY HOSPICE PROGRAMS
Honey Lake Hospice tells us they will be hosting a free community Holiday Bereavement Workshop with Mike Boretz, LCSW and Sandy Forest, RN hospice bereavement coordinator. The workshop will be held from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10 at the Susanville Pizza Factory. It’s also time again for their annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 17. See their ads in this week’s paper for workshop reservation information and details on the tree lighting.
BANNER’S ANNUAL COAT DRIVE
Banner Lassen Medical Center is holding their annual Winter Coat Drive Thursday, and Friday, Nov. 8 and 9 in the Lassen/Shasta room. All coats donated will be distributed to those in need through Lassen Family Services. For every coat you donate, you will be entered in a drawing for a winter survival gift basket. So do a good deed and help keep someone warm this season.
