He made a left turn onto the southbound lane of the highway and as he accelerated, Jackson saw headlights appear behind him.

Bay, driving a 1974 Ford Mavrick, was traveling at an speed unsafe for the fog and icy roadway, and was unable to slow his vehicle before colliding with the rear of Jackson’s car, according to the CHP.

     Neither man was injured.

Both parties stopped on the right shoulder. While Jackson retrieved his rear license plate from the traffic lane, Bay returned to his vehicle and allegedly left the scene, according to the CHP.
