LOOKING FOR SOME SUMMER FUN FOR KIDS?

Just Kidding Around Kids Club in Janesville is getting all geared up for their summer program. They have a variety of guest teachers coming. They will be taking field trips to areas around Susanville. Plus they plan on pizza parties, water days and some daytime camping. MARK YOUR CALENDARS

Do you wish you had a green thumb and knew how to plant flowers in pots? Well you don't have to know how to do it yourself. The garden gurus at Every Bloomin' Thing will do it for you this Sunday, June 10. Just bring in two pots (up to 14 inches in diameter), pick out your flowers and they will pot them for free. Join them from 1 to 4 p.m. for free potting day.

On Saturday, June 16 they are having a free fruit tasting at 1 p.m. Owner Melissa McCoy invites everyone out for these events. They simply have everything you need to have a fabulous yard, patio and garden.

THEY’RE HAVING A BARBECUE

It’s time for the third annual Customer Appreciation barbecue at Brian Wilson’s State Farm Insurance office, in combination with Idaho Grocery. It’s set for 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. this Thursday, May 31. The Urrutias at Idaho are barbecuing up tri-tip sandwiches and chorizos. It’s a great way for the Wilsons and the Urrutias to show appreciation to their customers.

BABY CARRIER SAFETY

Blessed Babies and Bellies Boutique is hosting a Baby Carrier Safety Workshop from 11 a.m. to noon May 24 at Party and Main, 2208 Main St.They will show you how to hold your baby and still have your hands free, and explain which carriers are not safe.Learn how using a quality baby carrier can help with sleeping, breastfeeding, colic/reflux and improve coordination and spine development. They have demo wraps, ring slings and soft structured carriers available for you to try. You can also bring your own carrier, and they will show you how to use it safely and comfortably.
