The Lassen County Board of Supervisors solicits the aid of the general public in consideration of the following item:
Project: Consider an amendment to Lassen County Code Section 3.18.021 (Planning Department fees for surface mining and related activities) to increase the “Annual Surface Mine Administration and Operations Monitoring Fee” from the current minimum of $300.00 (or 75% of the annual reporting fee if it is greater) to a $1,000 minimum. If adopted, funding for the Department’s mining inspector will be secure, and Lassen County miners will no longer require outside consultants to provide mining inspection services.

The Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on this item at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 14, 2010, in the Board Chambers, 707 Nevada Street, Susanville, California. Project Description: The goal is to excavate hydrocarbon impacted soils and re-compact with clean soils to existing grade at the Lassen Municipal Utility District (LMUD) property located at 1545 Chestnut Street in Susanville, Lassen County, California. The excavated soil will be replaced by clean soil from a borrow source located at Duck Hole Road in Wendel.
A mandatory pre-bid walk-thru will commence at LMUD’s Service Center located at 1605 Chestnut Street, Susanville, California at 8:00 AM on Friday, September 17, 2010.

RE: NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON DISCONNECTION
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Board of Directors of the Susanville Sanitary District will hold a public hearing on September 14, 2010 at 1:10 P.M., in the Board Room of the District Office located at 45 S. Roop St., Susanville, CA., 96130 to determine whether the following described real properties shall be physically disconnected from the Susanville Sanitary District Sewer System for failure to pay sewer use fees due to the District for service to said properties.

You are invited to appear at said hearing to state to the Board of Directors any facts you believe should be considered by the Board in determining whether to physically disconnect your sewage service to said properties.
THIS NOTICE IS TO ADVISE YOU OF YOUR RIGHT TO BE PRESENT AND BE HEARD BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE SUSANVILLE SANITARY DISTRICT IN MAKING ITS DETERMINATION AS WHETHER TO PHYSICALLY DISCONNECT SEWER SERVICE TO THE PROPERTIES DESCRIBED ABOVE.
If said Board orders that the sewage service be physically disconnected, you can reinstate your service only by paying the District's charge for a new sewer connection permit, collection connection fee, the amount currently delinquent and the expense of the District in disconnecting the service to your properties and any other costs incurred.
You can avoid further proceedings in this regard by payment in full of delinquent fees due the District. Should you have any questions, please contact the Susanville Sanitary District office at 45 S. Roop Street.
