A Petition For Probate has been filed by: Mary Ring in the Superior Court of California, County of Lassen.

THE PETITION FOR PROBATE requests that: Mary Ring be appointed as personal representative to administer the estate of the decedent.

THE PETITION requests authority to administer the estate under the Independent Administration of Estates Act. (This authority will allow the personal representative to take many actions without obtaining court approval. Before taking certain very important actions, however, the personal representative will be required to give notice to interested persons unless they have waived notice or consented to the proposed action.) Consideration of an Conflict of Interest Code update for LAFCo.

Government code section 87300 et. seq. (the Political Reform Act) requires each local government agency to maintain a conflict of interest code and update it to reflect changes occurring in the organization of an entity.

Whaleback Project:

Public Meeting Outreach

The Eagle Lake Ranger District of the Lassen National Forest is beginning planning efforts within the Whaleback Fire area. The Whaleback Fire started on July 27, 2018 and burned a total of 18,703 acres of National Forest Service land in the Brockman Flat Lava Beds and on Whaleback Mountain. There are areas where tree mortality is 100 percent, while other areas still support a green tree component. Objectives identified to this point include: removal of hazard trees, decreasing long-term fuel loads, recovering economic timber value before marketability is reduced, and accelerating reforestation.

Please join us at a public meeting to learn about plans for project development and engage in discussions about project ideas and potential issues. The knowledge of local residents, forest users, and people interested in this area is of great value and can help us with project design.

LASSEN COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION

Project: As required by Section 18.112.060 of Lassen County Code, the Lassen County Planning Commission will consider adopting a Resolution for revocation of Use Permit #96056 for non-compliance with the conditions of approval of said use permit, all associated amendments and Board of Supervisors Resolution 97-067. The use permit was conditionally approved on September 23, 1997, to allow surface mining and material processing, with concrete and asphalt plants.

Location: The mine site is located in Litchfield, CA at 476-250 Ward Lake Road, off Center Road (A-27) in Lassen County, approximately 13 miles east of Susanville, CA.

Zoning: The subject parcel is zoned Upland Conservation, Resource Management District and Upland Conservation, Agricultural Preserve Combining District, and is designated Extensive Agriculture by the Lassen County General Plan, 2000.
