Lassen High School’s Kendahl Loflin traveled to Oroville, California to compete in the Northern Section California Interscholastic Federation Championship match held at Table Mountain Golf Course.
Loflin competed in the individual category along with golfers from Anderson, Shasta, West Valley, Yreka, Enterprise and Foothill high schools. Additionally, Pleasant Valley High School, Chico High School and Red Bluff High School had six students each compete for their respective teams.
Loflin finished the course with a stroke count of 97, thus earning her first place among the individual golfers.
Loflin earned her score with a stroke count of 46 in the back nine holes and 51 in the front nine.
Overall, Loflin tied for fourth place with a Pleasant Valley Golfer.
Pleasant Valley also had the first through third-place finishers with stroke counts of 71, 91 and 94, respectively.
As one of eight golfers with the lowest stroke count, Loflin qualified to compete in the CIF NorCal Regional State Golf Championships, which was held in Roseville, California on Monday, Nov. 6.
Along with Loflin, two golfers from Red Bluff High School, one from Chico High School and the entire Plesant Valley team attended and competed in the state championship match.
