March Chamber Mixer
Mark your calendars for our March Chamber Mixer held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, March 17 at the Highway to the Gaming Zone, 1430 Main St. Make this St. Patrick’s Day one for the whole family with arcade games, specialty drinks, small bites and a raffle! Everyone is welcome to attend; you do not have to be a Chamber member, and we encourage you to bring a friend.

Hello, Spring!
After having to postpone this event for the past two years, we are ready to bring to you our 14 annual Spring Show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 30 at Lassen County Fairgrounds. If your business fits into Home, Garden, Recreation or Wedding Vendor, we welcome you. Applications can be found on our website at www.lassencountychamber.org or at the Chamber office, located at 1516 Main St. For more information call, 257-4323.

Best of Broadway
Best of Broadway’s 2022 production brings you the concert series, “Home Again!” Mark your calendar for eight performances the first two weeks of March. Tickets are $15 each and available at Margie’s Book Nook, Zaengle’s Floor and Home and the Lassen County Chamber of Commerce.

Loflin Family Fundraiser
There will be a fundraiser to help support the Loflin Family and help spread Breast Cancer Awareness from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, March 13 at New Image Racquetball Gym, 1717 Main St. This fundraiser includes a full day of events, featuring a corn hole tournament, workout classes, craft fair, raffle, kids club and lunch. Rotary Music Contest
Susanville Sunrise Rotary presents its Annual Youth Instrumental Music Contest at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 15 at the Lassen High School Music Room. This is for students, grades 9-12. There will be two qualifying contents and then the finals, all with prize money; three local monetary prize winners will be chosen. Performance time will be 3 minutes minimum to 8 minutes maximum, you must also bring four copies of your music for the judges. Applications are available through the Lassen High School counseling office, or you can email pgunderson@lcoe.org for more information.

Rotary Speech Contest
The Rotary Club of Susanville presents its 2021-2022 Club and District Speech Contest at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 16 at the Lassen High School Board Room. This is for students, grades 9-12 with first, second and third place prizes. This year’s theme: “Share with us a time that you have served others and how were lives impacted, including your own.” The entry deadline is Wednesday, March 9. St. Patrick’s Day Dinner
Diamond Mountain Casino and Hotel offers a St. Patrick’s Day dinner special of corned beef and cabbage, Thursday, March 17. The meal will include corned beef and cabbage, potatoes and carrots, soup or salad, and a roll, all for $21.99 before discounts. For more information, call DMCAH at 252-1100.

St. Patrick’s Day Dinner
Lassen Humane Society offers a St. Patrick’s Day drive-through corned beef and cabbage dinner for $16 per plate from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 17 at Susanville Senior Center, 1700 Sunkist Dr. in Susanville. All proceeds to benefit Lassen Humane Society. For more information, leave a message at 257-4555.

St. Patrick’s Day Party
Join Soroptimist International of Susanville for a St. Patrick’s Day Party to benefit #fightforccc. The Shenanigans Shindig will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, March 18 at Jensen Hall, Lassen County Fairgrounds. This event includes live music by the band ‘Timeless’, Pot of Gold Wheel, Couples Leprechaun Contest, Leprechaun Limbo, Silent Auction, drinks and snacks! Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased at Axia Home Loans.

26th Anniversary Celebration
Join Diamond Mountain Casino and Hotel for a 26th Anniversary Celebration, Saturday, March 19. There will be 26 random winners of $1,000 promo play beginning at 8 a.m. and ending at 9 p.m. The bar and grill also offers free birthday cake with each meal purchase. Susanville Swing Band
The Susanville Symphony Society brings you the Susanville Swing Band at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 19 at the Susanville Elk’s Lodge. CASA SMALLFOOT
CASA has rescheduled its movie night: “SMALLFOOT” at 5 p.m. Saturday, March 26 at Community Church. ‘SMALLFOOT’ is a family friendly movie that “takes place high in the Himalayan mountains, where a community of yetis lives according to rules literally set into ancient stones.” The event entry and snacks are by donation. Farm Bureau Scholarships
Applications for Lassen County Farm Bureau scholarships and American Ag Credit are now available. These scholarships will be awarded to deserving high school or college students who are pursuing a career in agriculture or agri-business. Students can obtain applications on the Lassen County Farm Bureau’s Facebook page, by contacting their school counselors or calling the Lassen County Farm Bureau office at 257-7242. The application deadline is March 25.

Lassen Association of Realtors Scholarships
Applications for Lassen Association of Realtors Scholarships are now available. This year LAR will be offering three (3) $1000.00 scholarships. Students must be in their senior year attending a high school within Lassen County. For more information, call (530) 257-5220. The application deadline is April 15.

Lassen Fastpitch and Lassen Lightning Softball Scholarships
Applications for Lassen Fastpitch and Lassen Lightning Softball Scholarships are now available. This year Lassen Fastpitch and Lassen Lightning Softball will be offering one primary scholarship in the amount of $1,000 and one secondary scholarship in the amount of $500. Students must be high school seniors who have played a minimum of two years in the local Lassen Youth Fastpitch Softball League; must be a senior at Lassen High School;  and plan to attend an accredited college, university or trade school. LMUD Scholarships
Applications for LMUD Scholarships are now available. LMUD is offering two $1,250 scholarships for high school seniors and one $500 scholarship for returning college students in a program designed to enhance the education and resulting careers of deserving local students. Applications can be accessed on their website or for more information call 257-4174. Application deadline is April 29.

Bottle and Brush remodel
Bottle and Brush Art Bar is working tirelessly to finish its remodel and open the doors again. With a re-open date still to be determined, they are hoping for soon.
