Fire Department responds to power pole fire

About 4:13 pm. Tuesday, Dec. 27, Susanville Fire Department Engine 621 responded to the area of Paiute and Cameron streets on a report of a power line possibly down.

Upon arrival, the engine crew met with the Susanville Police Department at the scene who pointed out a pole in the field was on fire.

The engine crew inspected the pole and found a broken electrical line that shorted out, which caused a fire. The engine crew remained on the scene awaiting LMUD.
