LCC Baseball Hustlin’ Cougar Youth Camp
Mark your calendars! Boys and Girls 7-13 years old. Memorial Ball Park, 9 a.m. to noon June 12-15, $100, T-shirt Included. This year a pre-registration event the Sunday before camp June 11 from 4 to 6 p.m. sy Memorial Ballpark to help get those parents to work on time, Monday, the first day of camp. If you can’t make pre-registration, you can still sign up the day of camp. Items needed: catcher’s gear (if necessary), cleats, glove, baseball pants, hat, water, snack. Hosted by Lassen County Office of Education, Teen Pool Summer Party! Free entrance! From 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, at the Honey Lake Valley Community Pool, 13 to 18 year olds. Shaved ice! Door prizes! A tobacco-free splashing good time.

Lassen County Law Enforcement Torch Run
Lassen County Law Enforcement Torch Run Thursday, June 15th. Opening Ceremonies at 7 a.m., run begins at 7:30 a.m. Opening ceremonies at Historic Court House and ends at Lassen Superior Court. There are several ways to participate in this event. You can sign up to be a runner in the event or donate by scanning the QR code or clicking the link on the poster on the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page. You can also come cheer on the runners at the finish line.

Adopt A Flowerbed
Lassen County Fair presents Adopt-A-Flowerbed. Enter the 2023 flowerbed contest. $5 to enter and cash prices for 1st, 2nd, 3rd. Entry forms due June 15. For more information call 251-8900.

BBQ Contest

Firecracker and Freedom Bingo Convention Fundraiser
Soaring Eagle Blue Star Moms are having a Firecracker and Freedom Bingo Convention Fundraiser at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 29 at the Veterans Hall. $5 per bundle, beverages, and snacks available for purchase. In conjunction with this Convention Fundraiser, they are also having a drawing for a cord of wood. Tickets are $20. The winner will be drawn on the night of Bingo. Lassen County 4-H BBQ
Lassen County 4-H BBQ, 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 18 at Lassen County Fairgrounds. Tickets can be purchased from a 4-H member or at the 4-H office at 707 Nevada St, Susanville. $15/Ticket (all ages). Tri-tip, salad, baked potato, roll, dessert and a drink. Chimney Fund’s annual Backwoods BBQ Competition
