Lassen Family Services raises awareness during Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Awareness Month

Here’s an update from Lassen Family Services regarding Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Awareness Month.

During the month of April Joe’s Coffee has a specialty drink to raise awareness for Sexual Assault. Order the “Real Teal” and a portion of the proceeds will go to @lassen.family.services to help survivors of sexual assault.

April 24, 2024
Join us at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 24 at 1306 Riverside Drive in Susanville to walk in protest of sexual violence observing Denim Day. Denim Day is a day to wear jeans with the purpose of supporting survivors and educate everyone about all forms of sexual violence. Denim Day began in Rome, Italy in 1999 after a verdict of an 18-year-old girl who was raped while wear jeans was overturned enraging women of the Italian parliament. These women protested by wearing jeans to work.

April 27, 2024
Lassen Family Services hosts its 11th Annual Walk A Mile event.  Join us in a walk or 5K run to support survivors of sexual assault and child abuse. We are still looking for informational, food, beverage, and craft vendors. Pass the word.
