Board of Supervisors Roundup — Tuesday, Sept. 17
The Lassen County Board of Supervisors met at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17 in the Board Chambers at 707 Nevada St.
The board met in closed session to discuss four items — a conference with labor negotiator Scott McLeran (management and professional association), employee performance evaluation (county counsel), a liability claim filed by Emilia Mojarra and five liability claims filed by Cheryl Strange. Lassen County Administrative Officer Richard Egan said the board took no reportable action.

The board pulled item G2 from the consent calendar to correct typographical errors to the minutes of the board’s Sept. 10 meeting. Other items unanimously approved include the minutes from the Sept. 3 meeting, a victim/witness grant request from the Lassen County District Attorney and a request by Supervisors Chris Gallagher to designate $927.29 from his discretionary fund to C&S Waste Solutions for the Westwood Cleanup.
Department reports
The board unanimously approved a $60,000 agreement between Lassen County and Housing Tools, LLC. to provide services related to facilitating the development of housing and expansion of housing-related services.
Information for the board
Egan updated the board on the developments with the Colwest housing project at the old hospital. At the last meeting, the board directed the county administrative officer to sign an agreement with Colwest after the city had issued a building permit for the project. Egan said he checked with the city, and city staff informed him they had just received the plans last week. He said the city was reviewing the plans and that process might take another two weeks to complete.
