California Secretary of State Shirley N. Weber.

“The President has not learned his lesson from his first failed executive order that attacked our voting rights,” Weber said. “This whole charade is just the latest effort to interfere with our elections.

President Donald Trump.

“It is simple: President Trump has ZERO constitutional authority over federal elections. That power rests only with states and Congress, not the executive branch, PERIOD.
