Hibbitts and Schuster headed for two seats on the Susanville City Council

According to Update No. 5 from the Lassen County Clerk’s Office, Gerry S. Hibbitts’ leads incumbent Mayor Mendy Schuster and Councilmember Russ Brown in the Susanville City Council race. The top two vote getters will assume office.

Hibbitts has 1,165 votes, Schuster has 995 votes and Brown has 899 votes so far.

There were 43 write-in ballots cast and the county clerk reports a total of 3,102 ballots cast in the race.
