Accident leads to alleged DUI arrest

A Reno man was arrested about 2 p.m. Saturday, May 23 on a charge of suspicion of driving under the influence, according to a statement from the California Highway Patrol.

The CHP reports Thomas B. Pellett, 64, was driving a 2008 Ford pickup westbound on Highway 36 west of Highway 147 at an unknown speed when, due to his level of intoxication, his vehicle left the roadway, collided with multiple rocks and a tree and came to rest on its side.

The vehicle sustained major damage, but Pellett was not injured. He was transported to Banner Lassen Medical Center as a precaution.
