Albertson named LCC Superintendent/ President

Dr. Trevor Albertson was officially announced as the Lassen Community College Superintendent/ President Friday.

Albertson started at LCC in 2018 as Dean of Instructional Services and was named acting president in late December 2019 following Dr. Marlon Hall’s retirement. He was named Superintendent/ President following the board of trustees’ search, and Board President Sophia Wages swore Albertson into his official role during the May 28 Commencement Ceremony.

Albertson earned his PhD from the University of California, Merced, in world cultures and history, and was an IGCC-UCDC Dissertation Fellow in Foreign Policy Studies. He earned a master of arts degree in International Affairs from the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC, and a bachelor of arts degree from Norwich University. Albertson is a former assistant professor and course director at the Department of Defense’s Air Command and Staff College at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama.
