Applications sought for Susanville Municipal Airport Commission vacancies

The City of Susanville is inviting applications from the public for the Susanville Municipal Airport Commission to fill current vacant positions as Commissioner and an Alternate Commissioner.

If you have an interest in aviation, serving on the Airport Commission is a valuable opportunity to participate in local planning and decision making for the operation of this vital community asset. The Commission serves as an advisory board to the City Council and contributes to short- and long-term goals for the regulation and expansion of business and development at the Susanville Airport.

The Airport Commission consists of five community residents and one alternate member and at a
minimum, members must reside within 15 miles of the city limits. Responsibilities include a 4-year term commitment, attendance at meetings and reviewing airport activities. The Airport Commission’s regular meetings are held every month on the second Thursday at 3 p.m. at the Council Chambers located at City Hall, 66 N. Lassen St., Susanville, CA 96130.
