Are you ready for some corned beef?

What if you prepared for a big community corned beef and cabbage dinner for St. Patrick’s Day, and the event had to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic?

Well, that’s exactly what happened to the Lassen Humane Society, so now they’re having a corned beef sale!

According to a statement from the society, “Since we had to cancel our St. Patrick’s Day dinner, we’ve had the corned beef in a commercial freezer. So now we’re giving everyone a chance to buy some that you can cook yourself. LOL. It’s Shensen bottom round premium corned beef. Each package is vacuum packed and weighs about three pounds. We’re asking for a donation of $12 (or more) per package.

“The meat can be purchased at Milwood Florist … By selling the meat, we can recoup some of the expense from our cancelled event. As always, thank you for supporting the Lassen Humane Society.”
