With the closure of the local Bank of America branch, some customers have been left wondering what to do now.
The local Bank of America, which has sent out notices it would shut its doors on Nov. 14, will not continue to keep an ATM in Susanville.
However, there are still options on what to do with your banking.
Customers can choose to keep their accounts with Bank of America, but switch to doing business online.
According to a letter sent out to some customers, alternative options such as online and mobile banking, direct deposit, banking by phone or banking at the Red Bluff or Reno locations, were presented.
However, some local banks want to ensure customers that they are willing and ready to accept an influx of customers.
For local bank options, customers have the chance to use Plumas Bank and Lassen County Federal Credit Union.
Dawn Miller, Lassen County Federal Credit Union CEO, notes that the business is ready to welcome new customers.
In order to switch banks, she notes, “Basically just come down,” with an ID or trust. “It’s fairly fast,” Miller said.
