Banner Lassen Medical Center announces new Chief Nursing Officer

Banner Lassen Medical Center is pleased to share that on November 15, 2021, Mary Smith, RN, MSN, joins us as Chief Nursing Officer. In this role, she’ll have overall accountability for providing leadership, direction and administration of day-to-day operations associated with direct patient care activities and clinical education and development, including continuous improvement of nursing services and staff to meet the needs and expectations of the patients we serve at BLMC.

Webb Medical Center as interim, senior manager for intensive care as well as director of progressive care, intensive care, central monitoring, stroke services and heart failure services. She also spent time at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center as a senior manager of progressive care services.

Most recently she served as director of the cardiac surgical intensive care unit, cardiac cath lab, short-stay services, IMCU, neuro/cardiac telemetry services and advanced providers at Dignity Mercy Medical Center in California.
