The Medical Board of California has issued a Cease Practice Order to Susanville physician Jay Milton Beams.
According to a Stipulated Settlement and Disciplinary order that became effective Aug. 8, 2019, Beams’ medical license was revoked, but the revocation was stayed and the local doctor was placed on five years probation with terms and conditions.
As part of that stipulation, Beams allegedly failed to comply with Condition No. 6, completing a Clinical Competence Assessment Program within six months as ordered.
According to the order, effective at 5 p.m. Jan. 13, Beams “shall not resume the practice of medicine until enrollment in the clinical competence assessment program has been completed.”
